Oh Dorian...

Hello Dears,

This weekend I went to see "The Picture of Dorian Gray" ( I love love love Oscar Wilde!!!) with some friends. It was really good, I just loved all the dialogues and Harry was fantastic (he looked a bit like Lucius Malfoy ♥)!! Dorian was ok, not exceptional, but well...
A friend even brought her home made cupcakes (with Macha and green glitter) which was just the cherry on top of a really nice evening ^^
On Sunday I went to meet some of my Lolita friends and spent a really nice evening at our usual café ^^ So all in all a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend, I wish I could spend all my time like this...

My ticket and the flyer from the show ^^

What I wore to the theatre:

Blouse: H&M
Tights: ETC
Shoes: Taobao (?)
Bag: pink ETC Present-Bag

 What I wore on Sunday:

Even a bad song...

Hello Dears,

today I wanted to show you one of my favourite bands. You can listen to them on Youtube, they are called "Scott Bradlee & Postmodern Jukebox" and they take (in my humble opinion mostly rather bad) songs and make them sound absolutely awesome by redoing them in different vintage styles. I really like how most of them make me want to dance (or at least jump around to the music...)!!!

Careless Whisper - Vintage 1930's Jazz Wham! Cover ft. Dave Koz - so ironic, this is really danceable ^^ (kinda reminds me of Scissor Sisters "I don't feel like dancing" in that aspect...)

Don't You Worry Child (Vintage 'Great Gatsby' Style Swedish House Mafia Cover) - whatever Swedish House Mafia is, it sure sounds cool ^^

Gentleman (Vintage 1920s Gatsby - Style Psy Cover) -I just love the dancing, wish I could move like that...

So what do you think? Do you like their music? Did you know them? Can you recommend me any good bands/artists?

xoxo, Alice

My Lolita Weekend

Hello Dears,

last week I finally went to another meet-up in Vienna. ♥

There were many new people but also some familiar faces (so I wasn't totally lost...), the best part however was, that Sylvia (from Royal Fruitcake) went as well ^^

Sylvia and I had met on Saturday at my place where she cooked a really nice noodle salad and then we spent the afternoon looking through magazines and watching face off (an American TV show about movie and make-up artists), before going to our "Lolita Stammtisch" together.

On Sunday at 13.00 pm the meet up started, we met at the subway and walked to the national library, there we took pictures before going inside. The library is beautiful and they had a really interesting exhibition about old children photographs.

After the exhibition Sylvia and I left, because she had to go to Krems in the evening. We just had a small lunch/dinner at a cheap little Asian restaurant before parting ways and going back to "real life".

All in all it was a wonderful weekend and I really enjoyed seeing all these beautiful girls again!! ♥

So, on with the pictures I guess (sorry for the bad quality, but we weren't allowed to use the flash inside...):

Close up on my make up. I think I never wore this much before, but I felt the dress needed it XP

My Outift, the dress is from Vierge Vampyr, it's such a gorgeous brand, and they ship internationally ^^
I tried really hard to bring it all together, but the bag I wanted to wear with it, was the one that got stolen, so I had to improvise... I hope the shoes don't look to out of place...

Outfit rundown:
Wig: GLW
Ribbon: Vierge Vampyr (actually part of a Bonnet)
Tights: Calzedonia
Shoes: Somewhere in Harajuku
Bag: Vintage, it belonged to Milkys Grandma ^^

The lovely Katrin (from tea, paper pencil), her Outfit was just perfect for the occasion!

Sylvia looking wonderful in a beautiful ETC dress (I want that one so bad...)

Duplica in Innocent Wold (the print was inspired by this very library) and golden VW heels

Last but not least: a group picture! ^^ (by Marco Detoyato)

So, what do you think? How do you like to spend your weekends? Do you like big meetings/parties which a whole lot of people or do you prefer to meet one on one?

Web Finds: Jane Marple

Hello Dears,

today I wanted to show you some things (manly dresses) form another of my favourite brands, Jane Marple! All the pictures are from their online shop, except for the coordinate which is from the official blog, go and have a look!

I really like those wooden platforms, but for ¥ 49.140 they are even more expensive than my ETC glitter heels...

The print on this blouse is sooo cute! I love these old school drawings of Alice in Wonderland!

fell in love with the collar! Actually maybe I should try buying a white blouse and just sewing the ribbons on...

This dress is so adorable, I like, that its so basic and simple and than has this gorgeous lace-border.

As you can see, I can never get enough of these Teaparty-style dresses ♥

And another one, but this one has polka dots! ^^

Again I just love the collar and the colours!! ♥ Definitely my favourite!
